Fitness and MyPlate
So I have been very good for the entire month of April as far as fitness goes. I have been running at least 5 days a week, lifting two days a week, and when tennis ended I have been playing soccer. I'm pretty sure my body will make me pay for this as soon as I give it enough time to rest. The weather has been just so perfect for some of my workouts that I cannot pass up running when it's sunny outside. I have been doing rather well of watching what I am eating also. I have been trying to make sure I eat nutrient dense foods so my body will be able to keep working at its maximum potential. The only downside is that I have officially stopped using myplate to track my progress. I have found a number of things that make the source difficult to use and things that make it more time consuming than it has to be. I did track my food and exercise for over thirty days straight which I am proud of.

Fitness this week!
So once again I've been running basically everyday as well as tennis practice. I have also been tracking everything on myplate. This week was still rough for me because I am still sick and trying to figure out what is wrong with me. I am trying to work through it. I think that working out makes me feel better overall even when I'm not feeling 100%.

Biking, no thank you. I think I'll go for a run.
So I considered trying to go bike for the hour and fifteen minutes. I considered it for about a day. Then I remembered what happens every time I get on a bike. I crash. The bike is always fine and I end up a little banged up. Well I didn't want to risk ruining the school's bike and I enjoy running. I took this as my first running challenge. I ran for an hour and fifteen minutes. It was not the fastest I have ran but it was a good run. I love all the trails around Winston-Salem. I run on them almost everyday when I'm at school. I waited most of this week for a nice day and I'm glad I did. This weekend was much warmer than this week. While I am sad that I did not get the biking experience I would not be upset if I went running every time we were asked to go for a bike ride. I am used to running long distances but I had not run for this long in a long time. It was a challenge that I am glad to have completed. I look forward to the next.
